Conception of a 1 to 1 laptop program customized for WBAIS

The 1 to 1 laptop program is just one part of the vision WBAIS has to become a state of the art, technology rich, international school. Our transition to a new campus has provided us with the opportunity to explore and develop a laptop program designed to meet the needs of our learning community. In order to keep stress levels down and move forward with the transition of using digital assistants anywhere, anytime we have chosen a phase in approach. We will start with our 7th grade class during the 2007-08 school year pilot project. This blog is established to document a candid view of the development and implementation of this project. I invite all readers to share their positive views to enrich any learning this blog may provide to others implementing a 1 to 1 student laptop Project.

Part of my motivation to recommend we move forward with this project in a more timely manner has been the development of the One Child Per Laptop program. I follow the OLPC project with great interest and have link to some videos from this Blog. Check them out.
